Hunter Scheel Memorial Scholarship for Veterans

CPL Hunter Timothy Scheel, 6/10/1999 to 4/8/2023, served in the Army National Guard and completed one tour in Afghanistan and Kuwait. His medals include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with
Campaign Star & the Army Service Ribbon. Hunter fulfilled his life-long dream by graduating from the Law Enforcement Academy at Northwood Technical College in 2022. His career with the Cameron Police Department ended April 8 as he sacrificed his life to save the
lives of others in his community. The scholarship is open to veterans enrolled in the Law Enforcement Academy at the Rice Lake campus.
