Edward and Marilyn Santori Memorial Scholarship
Edward Santori first established this endowment in 2002 in memory of his wife, Marilyn, a WITC teacher in the business department. The family added Edward to the memorial after his death in 2015. Marilyn and Edward firmly believed in the power of education. It is in their honor that the family provides this $750.00 scholarship to a student at the Superior campus.
Impact
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to you for selecting me for this scholarship. Deciding to go back to school after so many years is a pretty big jump and can be intimidating. I have always talked about wanting to go back and things just did not line up for me. I went to the open house on campus, and since the registration fee was being waved that day for enrolling, I made the choice to officially register. I not only did it for myself, but I also did this for my girls to show them that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
I have two daughters. McKenzie is 16 and Monroe just turned 6. As a single mom, money has always been a stressful issue in my life. With this scholarship, it will help me on my journey to be a successful student. And it also helps me by not having to take out a loan or borrow from someone to then create another financial issue.
